The New bullet train to Kanazawa

Thanks to the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen railway line in 2015, getting to Kanazawa from Tokyo is now easy. A frequent direct train service operates from Tokyo to Kanazawa. It takes approx. 2 hours 30 minutes and is fully covered by the Japan Rail Pass. Find train timetables and fares here.

Tourist Information Center at Kanazawa Station

This tourist information center provides sightseeing brochures, information on local attractions and events, and also offers various services such as luggage delivery to accommodation, accommodation arrangement, and free rental umbrellas and rain boots. At the Tourist Information Counter for Foreigners, a volunteer interpreter from ‘Kanazawa Goodwill Guide Network’ (KGGN) provides traffic information and a guide to Kanazawa sightseeing in English. In addition, the services of an attended guide/interpreter for Kanazawa city and its suburbs are available.
