Tatemachi is Hokuriku region’s number one fashion street. A huge selection of shops aim to attract people with their own sense of style, contributing to the street’s unique character. The 430-meter-long shopping street is vehicle free between noon and 7 pm every day. You can relax and enjoy walking around the street without the stress caused by traffic. There are approximately 200 shops on both sides of the street, including a fashion mall, BELSEL, other apparel shops, cosmetic shops, hairdressers, general stores, second-hand book shops, cafés, and many more. At the weekend, people come from neighboring cities with their family or friends. Tatemachi holds a number of events and projects, working together with local students and young people.
